Day 7 - Tash Rabat to Kazarman
A very long drive today that lasted 8 hours in total. Nothing much to report.
First stop was back in Naryn, where our group cleaned out the entire stock of Ciprofloxicin at a pharmacy. According to (ex) Nursey Norridge, these can only be obtained by prescription back home. At the price of 60p she chose to stock up! I’ve now been tasked with obtaining a big electronic green cross sign to attach to our house upon our return. Complete with time and temperature displays too please!
Ciprofloxicin is, of course, an antibiotic that treats gut infections. Most of our group are suffering to one extent or another.
We stopped again at the bridge crossing the Naryn River - Kyrgyzstan’s longest.
That was followed by a picnic stop. The food was surprisingly decent.
Then it was a huge climb up to 2600 metres to a mountain pass. The views were stunning, the road very bumpy.
For three hours we bumped along, before eventually arriving in Kazarman.
