Day 19 - Wed 18th May. Arzua to O Pedrouzo

Another "typical" day within the last 100k. Lot's of people walking, but absolutely none of the sense of community that existed pre the last 100.

Again an dull overcast day. A bit of drizzle and rain, but largely just threatening. The actual walking route was relatively pretty; through nice shaded woods and forests. The aroma of eucalyptus loomed larger than ever. Occasionally, it had to fight against the silage on the local farms. The silage has been a big feature for the last 4 days. So much so, it prompted me to dream up a great name for a punk band....Sid Silage and the Muckspreaders! I also came with up some good song titles for their debut album "Pen & Ink". I'll not share them here though.

We had two stops for coffee en route. At the 2nd one Cate chatted a while with two older Dutch women, who were at the place where we ate last night. Turns out they weren't part of the Galician Revolutionary Sisterhood after all.

So, here we are in O Pedrouzo, just 19km from Santiago. Tomorrow is a big day. I'm rather excited. Nevertheless, lurking in the back of my mind is the notion that getting to the coast at Muxia is really putting the icing on the cake. Four more tough walking days.

To end, a video. Just a photo, but my mate Mar in Dubai  specialises in turning photos into videos using an app. The waiter in the background certainly enjoyed it!
