Day 14 – Burgos rest day (Sunday 19th May)

Nothing much to report today. Just chilled out in Burgos, wandering around the old town and visiting the somewhat strange cathedral.

Why strange? Well it is a huge building, but in reality it’s a series of smaller chapels; as opposed to one big communal area such as Westminster Abbey or Salisbury Cathedral. Contrary to its pre-match billing it was absolutely not dark and gloomy – in fact the complete opposite.

Burgos really is a nice place to visit for a day or two. It’s a bit off the beaten track, but has a relaxed, not too touristy vibe.

Back on the Camino tomorrow
